Have to thank Levi’s and Levi’s G-Town for putting together the evening and being gracious hosts. Also, special thanks to Phoenix Bikes for coming out. Despite the goldsprints machine not working, it was still good to see and hear about their new 2015 line of #bikelife/commuter specific clothing. Hopefully will be seeing some samples of de nieuwness I saw on display shortly. Will keep you updated.
Industry Aside: It was interesting to observe who was in attendance. For the most part attendees consisted of #BikeDC messengers, which obviously makes sense. However, the clothing is targeted and could be used by virtually anyone using a bike to do things without wanting to look like a “cyclist.” It got me wondering how do you get a wider demographic to see the benefit of such things, or attend an event such as this? I’m not paid to do this, that’s up to the brands selling the products, but it’s natural for someone active in the retail side of the industry.
