Put Something In The Box
These are the things they say: “Velo leads layouts with a grand tour champion’s panache but is also a hard-working design domestique for text-heavy applications. Superelliptical shapes and sturdy serifs will keep pace with contemporary culture with an aesthetic agility that will never go out of style.”
Always been a fan of the kits Vanilla/Speedvagen have put out and my feels voor this one’s no different. Nieuw black Castelli made kit is pre-order only and deadline is March 1st.
“The black Speedvagen team kit is an evolution of the original Army Green version. Clean, crisp, balanced, and minimal, this is the collection that our team has been racing in exclusively for the last two years. We like offering something special to the Speedvagen family of owners, as well as to friends of the brand. The team kit seemed like just the thing. In addition to looking better than any of your riding buddies, every kit purchases helps to support the team. We hope you can join us this season, in person and in spirit, as we spread the gospel of riding hard, holding ourselves to a high standard, and being good to our fellow racers—all while looking for a few chances to poke some fun at ourselves!”
Been meaning to post this for more than a couple weeks now. Former #BikeDC’er John Braynard of VeloBeats fame sent me a link to he and his riding partner, Boban’s Rapha Festive 500 effort to get some exposure. After looking it over, I felt it deserved WAY more than a simple mention on Twitter. The site, the images, and the stories of each ride are absolutely incredible.
SATURDAY! SATURDAY! SATURDAY! The Sufferfest’s 2015 Tour of Sufferlandria begins today, Saturday the 24th. And while destroying yourself daily until February 1st to the tune of the Sufferfest’s arsenal of pain plans is still the goal, so is raising monetary denominations voor de Davis Phinney Foundation.

Not to be confused with the Blackburn Rovers program, currently sitting mid-table in the Championship League, the 2015 Blackburn Ranger Program looks to recruit 6 nieuw ambassadors to put a hurtin’ into their products.
“Continuing in the spirit of adventure, Blackburn announces its third installation in its “Out There” adventure cycling program. Blackburn will be recruiting 6 new brand ambassadors for 2015. Nicknamed “Rangers,” these ambassadors are the ultimate testers of Blackburn products, while supporting and promoting it’s core culture. The program will continue to feature two of the most iconic cycling routes, the people who ride them and the uncommon adventures they have along the way. The Pacific Coast and the Great Divide will continue to serve as the pages that the Blackburn ambassadors, will write their journal of adventures upon.”

Been waiting for forever for (for/for/for?!) ARTCRANK to hit the District, and now that day is coming. No dates as of yet, but that should be rectified shortly. I haz an excite for the show, but also a sad. I’ve always wanted to design a poster for it, but sadly I’m in the hate period in my love/hate relationship with art. It should be noted I’ve hated art pretty much since graduating from art school back in ’98. So there’s that.
However, if you still haz an excite voor de art and also haz an excite voor de fiets (bikes, you English speaking heathens) *AND* you are a local to the DMV area, then this is an official CALL VOOR ARTISTS!!
