Bamboo is kinda the shit. It’s got the natural über-techness that merino does, but from an abundantly available and non-animal (cruelty free, voor those who need it) related source. Although, pandas like bamboo, and if you take bamboo from a panda, that’s pretty damn cruel. So if your bamboo products are sourced from the hands of pandas you’re a very bad person and so is the company.
Alright, time to get back on track.
The Showers Pass Bamboo-Merino LS Sport Henley Shirt ($95USD) combines the best of the bamboo and merino worlds—softnessness from the bamboo and warmth from the merino.
Showers Pass: “The two natural fibers are knit together creating a lightweight mid-layer with the performance benefits of Merino-wool and the soft feel of a synthetic but without the smell. Designed with a long torso and long sleeves with thumb loops, this comfortable trim fit won’t ride up. Flatlock stiching and seamless undearm pannel prevent chafing. The Sport Helney version features mesh panels under the arms and down the middle of the back for improved breathability.”
