Out of all the products I saw at Interbike, the most innovative and immediately useful would be Otto’s OTTOLOCK. The simple act of walking into a coffee shop before/during/aprés a road ride is an act of ridiculous faith. We hope people are cool enough not to steal your bike. Often, they are not. If you’re doing distance in nothing but the stretchy stuff, carrying a lock on your person or your bike is a non-option. That’s where the genius of the OTTOLOCK is perfect. It’s small enough to be wrapped around a seatbag and saddle rails, attached to your frame, or stuffed in a jersey pocket.
It’s not the same strength as a u-lock or a chain, but considering what most of us do when we go into a shop (especially solo), it’s WAY better than nothing.
